No Place for Hate Pledge

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This year, Millburn Middle School is working toward becoming a No Place for Hate School.  Our newest peer leader group, BRAVE, and the guidance office have been working to create activities, form committees, and take steps to meet the criteria to receive this designation.

The first initiative is to ask students to sign a pledge to be a No Place for Hate School. Today, BRAVE peer leaders explained our mission to the students and reviewed the pledge to them during the Auditorium lunch period. Tomorrow morning in homeroom, all students will have the opportunity to sign the pledge.

For your reference, a copy of the pledge is attached. We encourage you to speak with your child about diversity and inclusion at home to continue this initiative beyond the walls of the school building. Together we can work to create an inclusive environment within MMS and the community.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to your child's school counselor.

Warm regards,

John Connolly
