MMS 9/30/2022 Parent Update

Dear Parents & Guardians,

The week of October 3-7, 2022, is the New Jersey Department of Education’s designated Week of RESPECT.

Our theme for the Week of Respect is “Respect through Kindness.” Our Peer Leaders have identified initiatives to help students, parents, and teachers to create a school environment full of safe and supportive peer relationships.  Fostering a positive school environment is one of the most effective ways to help prevent bullying. Positive school climates exist in schools where the school community works collaboratively to build a culture of respect for one another.

In recognition of the 2022 Week of Respect, the Millburn Middle School Peer Leadership is sponsoring these initiatives to help promote “Respect through Kindness” while building unity within our school community.  Each day has a theme throughout the week of October 3, 2022.  Please encourage your child(ren) to participate to show support.  I have included the programming for the week below.  Have a great weekend!

Picture Day Reminder!

One last quick reminder, Friday, September 30th (B-Day) and Monday, October 3rd (C-Day) are Picture Days.  Students will have their pictures taken during Health or Physical Education Class. On Friday, September 30th (B-Day), all students that have Health and PE should be prepared to have their picture taken.  On Monday, October 3(C-Day), Block 1/Period 3 and Block 4/Period 7 Health and Physical Education classes should be prepared to have their picture taken because their classes dropped on Friday.

Have a great weekend!
