Dear Parents of Fifth Grade Students:
On behalf of the faculty and administration of Millburn Middle School, welcome to our school community! This is an important time of transition in the life of preadolescents, and I am confident that our Middle School teaching staff, curriculum and programs will provide your child with so many opportunities to grow in every way.
As a result of having exceeded our allocated snow days for the 2017-2018 school year, school will now be in session on Thursday, April 12 and Friday, April 13. Both of these days will be district-wide No Homework Nights. Additionally, no formal or informal assessments will be given on either day.
March 20, 2018
Dear Parents & Guardians,
As a reminder, our 5th Grade Parent Orientation Meeting is scheduled for March 22, 2018 with presentations at 9:00am and 7:00pm. Our presentation will last approximately one hour and will be followed by the opportunity for parents and guardians to take guided tours with our Peer Leaders around the Middle School.
In anticipation of the impending Nor’easter we have reserved Thursday, April 5, 2018 as our snow date. If there is a delayed opening or school closing on Thursday, March 22, 2018 we will move both presentations to the April 5th date.
We are looking forward to meeting and sharing with you all of the great opportunities that your children will have next year at Millburn Middle School.
Millburn Middle School Parents & Guardians:
The Millburn-Short Hills Community was hit unusually hard by this storm. It is my sincere hope that all of you are safe and warm and facing these most difficult times with optimism. As of 1:00pm today, approximately 2700 + residents in MB-SH are without power. While we look to return to school tomorrow, this will be anything but a typical Monday for many of our students.
Three of our high school juniors, Kyle Farscht, Danielle Benna, & Jessica Yeager, are among 25 contestants in the New Jersey Shout Down Drugs Music Contest for the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey for their song "Monster"
