8th Grade End-of-Year Information & Events

May 29, 2019

Dear 8th Grade Parents & Guardians:

Congratulations! In just a few short weeks you will be the proud parents and guardians of 8th-grade graduates and soon-to-be high schoolers. Your sons and daughters have grown socially, emotionally, academically and physically - they arrived at the Middle School as children and leave as budding young adults.

Over the next few weeks, the 8th graders have several key dates and events to keep in mind. These events are designed to celebrate their successes and leave them with yet a few more fond memories.

Warm regards,

John Connolly
Principal
Millburn Middle School

Parent Letter - Rotating Block Information

Dear Parents & Guardians,

As part of the Challenge Success initiative, the middle school has been examining alternative bell schedules that will provide increased scheduling flexibility and instructional time while reducing the harried pace of the school day. We have identified the Modified Rotating Block Schedule as a potential option for the middle school that is worth further consideration. As a result, we will conduct a two-day trial of this schedule on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, and Thursday, May 16, 2019. Our goal is to expose our faculty, staff, and students to this type of creative scheduling and solicit their feedback to help inform decisions moving forward.
