Superintendent's Statement on Acts of Hate

Cultural Diversity Social Justice Email 1/10/20

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some of the great connections that our staff members are making with regard to our district’s work with Dr. Joshi and Cultural Diversity and Social Justice.  I am really excited about these additions to our middle schoolers’ educational experience. Our staff has done great work to enrich our student’s understanding of cultural diversity and social justice as evidenced below by the following programs and learning opportunities:

8th Grade Move-up Ceremony

Over the past few weeks, we have been working to ensure that the transition to Millburn High School or the school of choice is special. The 8th Grade Move-up Ceremony is a pivotal event for middle schoolers. It represents a close to a period of 3 years where students have grown physically, emotionally, academically, and socially. The time students spend in middle school is short, but the memories created are great.
