Millburn Middle School Library

Welcome to the Millburn Middle School Library!  Our facility houses more than 14,000 volumes and is an active center for research needs integrated with our curriculum, as well as a good source for pleasure reading. Our collection has been developed to support the reading assignments of our Language Arts Department.  The library is staffed by Amy Ipp, Library Media Specialist, and Nancy McCabe, part-time secretary. The library has a chrome book cart and 3 printers for student use. Please visit us soon in person or by visiting our catalog through this link:
The MMS library fully supports the district curriculum through a wide range of print and electronic resources. The librarian provides direct instruction in the use of these resources by arrangement with the classroom teacher. The collection is vigorously maintained for currency, condition, and appeal, and represents the best available titles for this age group. A primary objective of the library is to promote pleasure reading. The collection includes a robust collection of graphic novels and graphic style nonfiction. Our nonfiction choices are especially extensive as curriculum requirements have demanded in recent years. We have a collection of audio titles that are downloadable to devices.
We welcome book suggestions-visit the library in person or email Mrs. Ipp.
The library has many online databases for all major subject areas including science, social studies, and language arts and World Language. Through the generosity of our PTO, the library offers access to the New York Times for use in our building. To access our electronic resources use this Google Classroom Code: b9tp0bv. They are all linked on the library homepage.

Borrowing policies: Students may check out 3 books at any one time for a two week period but students are encouraged to take out extra books as desired.  Renewals are encouraged.

For complete library policies please consult the Student/Parent Handbook. Any questions regarding the library should be referred to Amy Ipp, Librarian at (973) 379-2600, x121 or
